The administrative committee of Hangzhou Bay Shangyu economic and technological development zone signed the Co-construction Zhejiang Sino-Danish (Hangzhou Bay Shangyu) Innovation Park agreement with the Copenhagen Capacity on April 17th, 2015. As a witness, Mr. Tue David Bak, innovation and development director of the government of Zealand Region attended the meeting. The aim is to actively promote both sides in the fields of green energy, green building, energy-saving, environmental protection and other areas of industrial cooperation, to strengthen the two-way exchange and cooperation in the fields of industry, finance, science & technology, talent and innovation. It will takes place through the construction and development of the Park, to create green industry base of Zhejiang province and Danish enterprise cluster development and demonstration base together.

On June 27, 2016, Yuan Jiajun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor met with Jens Stenbæk, Chairman of Zealand Region, Denmark and they jointly signed a memorandum of deepening friendly exchange and cooperation between the two sides.The Sino-Danish Innovation Park (Shangyu Hangzhou Bay) is also part of the MOU.
